New Dexcom G6 Users Users with Type 1 Diabetes
As of 1st August 2022, all individuals whether new Dexcom G6 users or self-funded existing Dexcom G6 users, will now follow the same process as outlined below:
- Review the eligibility criteria available at ndss.com.au/about-the-ndss/cgm-initiative/ and speak to your healthcare professional (HCP) to see which product is right for you
- Complete the relevant Access Form found at ndss.com.au/about-the-ndss/cgm-initiative/. This needs to be prepared and signed by your HCP
- Diabetes Australia will contact you to confirm eligibility for access to subsidised CGM products
- The initial Dexcom kit will be sent to your HCP for the Dexcom start
- Following on from here, you can order and collect supplies from your local NDSS Checkpoint pharmacy

Speak to your healthcare professional today to see if Dexcom is right for you. Your healthcare professional will be able to submit a switch form on your behalf to the NDSS.
